Hale Koa Hotel is located approximately 10 miles from Honolulu International Airport. The hotel does not offer shuttle service. Taxi service
(approximately $35-$45), or an airport shuttle (approximately $10 per person) is available. Depending on time of day, the trip takes approximately
20-35 minutes. Most national car rental agencies can arrange for the pick up of a rental car at the airport.

When is the best time of the year to secure a reservation at the Hale Koa Hotel?
September through mid-December. For best availability, reservations should be made at least 6 months in advance.
What is the difference between the various room categories?
Rooms are generally the same in size (approximately 300 square feet) and offer the same amenities. Categories differ by the view from the room’s lanai.
Rooms are furnished with 1 King, or 1 Queen, or 2 Queen beds. Bed configuration cannot be guaranteed and may be requested when making reservations.
What are the guest room amenities?
Guest rooms are comfortable, thoughtfully, and tastefully appointed in a refined and restful color palette. All are equipped with central air conditioning, alarm
clock/radio, color TV, telephone messaging system, iron/board, hair dryer, coffee service, a refreshment cabinet – suitable for chilling beverages but not storing
perishables, available in room movies and internet service, and convenient video check out.
How many people can stay in a room? Can you accommodate special requests?
Each room can accommodate a maximum of 4 persons. Children under 12 years of age are free in their parents’ room. A 3rd and 4th person charge applies to guests
12 years and older. Rollaway beds and cots are not available.
We attempt to honor special requests, however, reservations are confirmed by room category only. Requests such as tower preference, bed type, connecting, or
adjoining rooms, or a specific room number cannot be guaranteed.
Does the Hale Koa Hotel have wheelchair accessible guest rooms?

Can I have flowers or a gift basket sent to a room upon arrival?
Yes, our Catering staff will be happy to assist with fruit baskets, champagne, or wine to be delivered to a guest room. Contact the Catering Department at

The “Flower Shop” located on property is able to create a floral arrangement, or a fresh flower lei and have it delivered to the guest room. Contact the

When is Check-in & Check-out Time?
Check-in time is after 3:00 p.m. If you arrive early, every effort will be made to accommodate you. Otherwise, a Hospitality Room is available for your
convenience. The Bell Desk will store your luggage until your room is available.
Check-out time is 12:00 noon. The Bell Desk will store your luggage until you are ready to depart.
What if a room at the Hale Koa Hotel is not available when I want to visit Hawaii?
Ask about our Referral Hotel program. We have arrangements with selected neighboring hotels to provide rooms for guests we are unable to accommodate.
As a referred guest, you are still welcome to enjoy our ground, dinner shows, restaurants, lounges, and the Post Exchange (proof of Hale Koa
eligibility required).

Is there parking available for hotel guests?
Yes, parking is available in the hotel’s parking garage located across the street from the hotel. Additional parking is available in our Saratoga parking lot. Parking is $7 daily for hotel guests. Automatic payment facility pay stations located in hotel lobbies, ground floor garage and Saratoga parking lot. Bring parking ticket to hotel restaurants, banquet functions, or bell desk for validation. hale Koa parking shuttle operates upon request. Please inquire at bell desk or call (808) 955-0555 for assistance.
Does the hotel offer high speed internet access?
Yes, high speed internet access is available in guest rooms through an Ethernet cable that connects direct to your laptop. Service is $9.95 for a 24 hour period.
Once service is authenticated in the guest room, WiFi is available in the main lobby and main pool areas.
Is there a kiosk to print boarding passes?
The boarding pass kiosk is located in the Ilima lobby.
Does Hale Koa offer children’s activities? Is there babysitting service available?
Babysitting service in not offered. However, there is always something for children to do at Hale Koa. We offer swimming or tennis lessons, the popular
“Magic in Paradise Show”, a beautiful one-third mile white sand beach, kiddies pool, children’s menu in our restaurants, and board games available for check
out at the bell desk.

Hale Koa Hotel houses Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays, a local tour desk, which can arrange your visit to the USS Arizona Memorial, USS Missouri, other Oahu
attractions, or to a neighbor island. You may arrange day trips or overnighters by calling them at 808-955-0555, ext. 410.
Are there laundry facilities at the hotel? What about dry cleaning service?
Yes, self-service laundry facilities are on guest room floors. Same day dry cleaning and laundering service is also available through the Bell Desk.
Does Hale Koa Hotel allow pets?
Pets are not allowed. Contact the Hawaiian Humane Society regarding a kennel right for you and your pet. Information can be found on their website,

What is the weather like there, and what type of clothing should I bring?
The weather is tropical and usually moderate year-round, typically ranging from the low 70s to upper 80s. Summer and resort-type, lightweight clothing such as
shorts, t-shirts, casual slacks, blouses, and dresses are appropriate almost everywhere in Hawaii. A cap or hat is useful to protect your face from the sun.
The use of sunscreen is recommended for additional UV ray protection.
